G&S Waterproofing Ltd is a sister company of G&S Tiling Ltd, and Scotland’s only organisation to be fully Schlüter & Wedi trained and approved recommended installers.

We work directly with both Schlüter and Wedi, particularly the technical departments to ensure Clients are getting the right products and systems for their project requirements. We believe in transparency, therefore also offering Clients the opportunity to have advice directly from both manufacturers in the form of technical meetings and even providing samples / mock ups to ensure Clients are fully satisfied with the products and systems.

With almost 60 years’ experience in the tiling trade, we understand the importance of product quality and workmanship.Having lived and worked in Germany as a family during the entire 1990’s, we experienced the advantages of using products from the likes of Schlüter and Wedi, both of whom are the world leaders in waterproofing technology for everything from bathrooms to swimming pools, and so much more.

Much like the founders of Schlüter and WEDI, our director Gerald McWilliams became a master tiler in Germany during the early 1990’s. This strict and rigorous master craftsmen system teaches the importance of precise quality workmanship and is unparalleled throughout the world. 

Being a member of The Guild of Master Craftsmen and having a master tiler as one of our directors means that quality is of the upmost importance to us.

With the ever-growing demand for internal waterproofing, we thought it was time to offer our specialised services separate from our tiling services. These services have now been used by some of the biggest names in the Hotel industry, such as Gleneagles, W Hotel, Trump Turnberry, and many more. This gives not only hotels, but also residential builders peace of mind that they will never have to worry about leaks from inside showers or wet rooms again. 
Tile coverings are not waterproof. Moisture can seep through the joints and damage the building structure. This can be effectively prevented with bonded waterproofing assemblies. Tile adhesive and grout are no longer sufficient to prevent possible damage from water. 

At G&S we are the only organisation to be fully approved installers of both Schlüter and Wedi products. All our employees are sent to Schlüter and Wedi for training courses to become fully certified installers to ensure the products are installed to the manufacturers guidelines.
